Our goal is to facilitate “Joy in Learning!”
The Montessori Method steers our curriculum. Through eco-literacy we connect with the larger community to assist in developing our outdoor classroom. The children spend time outside nearly every day, sometimes in our organic garden that they are tending, working in compost, and planting during appropriate times of the year. The children are learning social skills, mathematics, reading and writing, science, etc all at their own paces. In our community, adults and children co-create “heart” agreements to guide classroom and social interactions.
Our core academic program is enriched through Marvelous Mondays and Fabulous Fridays. These enrichment days provide children with additional opportunities for developing artistic talents and creative thinking skills. Current special activities on these days include DestiNation Imagination, Chinese language lessons, special art projects, music and recorder lessons.
